Those of us without allergies love this time of year. It’s finally warm, the grass is growing, the trees are budding and flowering, and it’s time to mulch.
Well, you might not be as excited about mulching as I am but did you know it offers a whole lot more benefit than just making your yard look nice? Here are a few reasons why you should consider mulching your yard trees.
Mulch slowly breaks down and naturally fertilizes the soil. Generally, trees that have been in the woods and left by themselves for a long time have soil rich with microbes and nutrients slowly developed from years of decomposing leaves and organic matter. Yard trees generally are without these same amenities and are often nutrient deficient.
